Q5. a) Give the symptoms, food involved and preventive measures of the following diseases:
a) Salmonellosis
b) Botulism

ANS(A)- Salmonellosis is an infection caused by the Salmonella bacteria. Most people with salmonellosis develop diarrhea, fever, vomiting, and abdominal cramps 12 to 72 hours after infection. In most cases, the illness lasts four to seven days, and most people recover without treatment.

(B)- Botulism (or botulism poisoning) is a rare but very serious illness that transmits through food, contact with contaminated soil, or through an open wound. Without early treatment, botulism can lead to paralysis, breathing difficulties, and death.

There are three main types of botulism:
1.infant botulism
2.foodborne botulism
3.wound botulism
